Panggang Island Health Center (Puskesmas) commemorated 2020 National Nutrition Day at Cikaya Beach, Karya Island, on this Saturday (2/22). This event is enlivened by Youth-Friendly Integrated Healthy Service Post (Posyandu) that was participated by 50 youths from Panggang Island and Pramuka Island.

Saharuddin, person who managed Panggang Island Youth-Friendly Posyandu Program explained, in this event, youths were educated about maintaining nutrition and health in a fun way through gymnastics, medical check up, and collecting garbage in Cikaya Beach.

"We educate participants about the importance of dietary habit and physical exercise," he stated.

Through Youth-Friendly Posyandu, he expected youths in Thousand Islands can maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious foods and getting enough exercise.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Pepen Kuswandi appreciated this event because it educates youths to take care of their health.

"Youth-Friendly Posyandu is open at Tanjung Timor RPTRA. Teenagers and young people who want to consult about their health condition such as related to reproduction or how to stop smoking can visit this place," he stated.
